Volvo Trucks’ Live Test Campaign receives top award in Swedish ad effectiveness competition “100-wattaren”

The Live Test online ad campaign, with a still extremely agile karate hero, has paved the way for Volvo Trucks yet again, earning one of the most sought-after prizes in Sweden in the advertising effectiveness competition, “100-wattaren”.

The “100-wattaren” rewards advertising that makes a difference, that is, advertising that has yielded effectiveness through high creativity. The “100-wattaren” is arranged by the Association of Swedish Advertisers and the Swedish Association of Communication Agencies.

At the award ceremony and gala evening, now under way at Cirkus Theatre Arena in Stockholm, the winners in the category of International advertising have been announced and it has been revealed that Volvo Trucks receives the top prize, 100 watts, with its “Live Test Series Integrated Campaign”. The campaign is produced by the Swedish advertising agency Forsman & Bodenfors.

To receive 100 watts is one of the highest honours in Swedish advertising, as it demonstrates that a campaign not only has shown a high level of creativity but that it also has worked.

The jury's motivation for 100 watts, category International advertising:

“We totally surrender to the creative force that permeates the idea and implementation, with outstanding results despite a traditional industry. Creativity and product advantages are symbiotic through all the campaign elements. Yet another jury stretches down in an epic split for this year's obvious winner in 100 watts: Volvo Trucks!”
