Mid-market business software provider Access Group (Access) has announced the launch of a new Professional Services Solutions (PSS) division, recognising its strengths and expertise in providing software solutions to project and services based organisations. The PSS division represents the central pillar in Access’s strategy of delivering sector specific solutions to key vertical markets, alongside the recently announced Supply Chain and NFP divisions. Its customer base includes Bloomsbury Publishing, Freedom, Menzies, Lansons Communications, Europa, PRMA Consulting and Human Capital Investment Group.

Steve Sawyer has been appointed Divisional Director of PSS. With ten years’ experience in the business software sector, Steve explained why he made the move to Access; “I wanted to join a company which believes in making business better for its customers. Access has the track record, attitude and people to make that happen.”

“PSS is a vibrant and varied division which encompasses accounting & financial services, construction and engineering, consultancy firms, creative agencies, PR, marketing, communications & events companies, facilities management, field service & hire, software companies and recruitment agencies to name just a few. This is truly exciting and pays testament to the strength and depth of our products that we are delivering operational efficiency and real business benefit to such a wide range of service organisations.

“Our traditional customer base continues to look for powerful, easy to use professional service automation solutions, comprising market-leading core financials, project accounting including timesheets, expenses and of course work-in-progress, and service contract management. Increasingly, forward looking organisations require browser-based deployment, business intelligence, and process automation, available in the Cloud and on mobile devices. These are all strengths for Access and we are committed to continued investment in these areas.”

With a focus on growing and developing Access’s place in the professional services sector, Steve is additionally responsible for overseeing the direction of its broad portfolio of professional services solutions. “We benefit from a tremendous range of integrated solutions at Access. Through PSS dedicated product boards, working in partnership with our customers, we are defining a ‘total’ ERP solution for professional services automation.”

As a fast growing business, Access’s choice of a dedicated PSS division reflects a desire to provide the very best expertise, alongside its specialist solutions, to a rapidly increasing professional services customer base. Steve continues, “Delivering to people-based businesses, it’s incredibly important that we demonstrate our own strengths in this area. Access has a fantastically collaborative culture, which nurtures talented people, constantly retaining and growing our levels of expertise. This culture is part of the customer experience, adding real value and support from day one.”
