Care for the Wild gets more personal with supporters with Access thankQ

Care for the wild is to get more personal with their supporters. This comes following a review of their previous CRM system, where the organisation discovered they were losing out to a weak database. Care for the Wild is looking to significantly reduce admin, whilst better understanding their supporters with the implementation of Access thankQ

Jill Inglis, Fundraising Consultant for Care for the Wild, explains, “We were looking for a new system, as our previous database was bespoke and it became outdated some time ago. The problem with having a bespoke system, is that there was no ongoing support.”

She continues, “Our previous database was very restrictive for the needs of our supporters. We knew we needed stronger data to enable us to make intelligent decisions, so we could better engage with our supporters.”

Jill comments, “I had experience setting up a database at a previous charity – I knew I wanted to keep our support in the UK, with direct contact to the author of the software.”

She elaborates, “We had a web demo of Access thankQ, where it was apparent that the system was easy to use. During the demo we received top notch support from Access. We then moved on to a live demonstration, this is where Access won us over – they performed incredibly well, understanding our needs and highlighting their understanding of our requirements in great detail.”

Rob Barr, Not for Profit Divisional Director for Access comments, “Other future advantages for Care for the Wild using thankQ will be the development of their social media presence, an area that is growing rapidly. This is another reason the organisation decided to implement thankQ. We offer specific database tools and industry-leading social media integration with Twitter and Facebook. This will enhance their audience’s experience, and enable Care for the Wild to make efficient use of the information they capture. thankQ has made capturing and analysing social media data incredibly easy.”

Jill adds, “By implementing thankQ we’re aiming to make savings on admin time, become more conscious of our costs, and have greater control over the time and effort we put into the organisation. Previously the more we needed data the more we struggled to access it, with thankQ we will eliminate this.”

“This new system is going to make a huge difference and the ease of use will be well received throughout the organisation. This will benefit us from the addition of new contacts, to automated reports that can be generated with accuracy and ease.”

She concludes “With their comprehensive roadmap, we know Access is delivering us a long term solution. We’re looking forward to our journey with Access. It’ll be a breath of fresh air for us.”
