TCCT prepare to double their membership with thankQ

Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust (TCCT) is upgrading their in-house charity CRM system to the fully integrated thankQ system from Access; designed to manage desired growth in membership, marketing and understanding.

TCCT is a dynamic, independent charity, set up 14 years ago with the primary task of protecting and managing 1750 acres of coastline and countryside in Torbay. The Trust has a much valued membership who support its various ongoing projects including an organic farming operation, woodchip supplies to the biomass industry, educational training and a host of fundraising events.  Having relied on an in-house system, the Trust decided it needed a more efficient, centralised system to manage membership more effectively and allow more proactive engagement with members.

Damian Offer, Director of Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, explains, “Our current in-house system is lacking and we need to implement a proper CRM structure to manage our contacts in one consolidated system. This will help us manage events, training courses and membership much more effectively and allow us to communicate better with our members.”

At the heart of TCCT is its aim of improved customer service delivery, achieved through a functional CRM system which enables greater audience engagement and insight.

Damian adds, “Our current database management offers no tangible way of monitoring engagement and we want better information to assist decision making. We decided it was time to address these hurdles, so the Trust can grow its prominence and supporter base.”

He continues, “We came across Access thankQ, which with its interface functionality, extended modules and integrated data tools which appealed to our requirements.”

With Access thankQ, the Trust can now consolidate its records, gain further understanding of its audience and deliver personalised engagement. thankQ will filter data allowing Trust staff to make informed decisions through one consolidate hub.

Damian continues, “Our goal is to significantly increase our profile and grow our membership from its current level of 2,600.  With the integration capabilities of thankQ we will also be able to automate processes and improve efficiency allowing staff to focus on the quality of our engagement with our members rather than the process.”

Rob Barr, Divisional Director, Access NFP Division, says, “TCCT’s envisioned growth is achievable and will be assisted by thankQ through a greater grasp of data, which will allow the Trust to better promote their contribution to the well-being of people in Torbay. Improved management of data will also aid retention and increase the Trust’s ability to raise the community’s awareness of their activities.”

He concludes, “Access will make management of staff, volunteers and events a more streamlined and accessible process. The ability to drill down to important information will support the TCCT future growth and development.
