Actic has signed an agreement to acquire Asker Treningssenter AS, which operates three fitness centers in Asker, Norway, with about 5,000 members. The operation has a turnover of almost SEK 40 million annually with good profitability. Consolidation will take place on December 1.

"Asker Treningssenter operates three very attractive facilities in its geography and gives us a stronger platform in the Norwegian market. We will move our regional headquarter to Asker, which will be an important main facility with a strong PT business. Asker Treningssenter has a broad and well-developed offer that we can develop further in Norway, and continue to build on within the Group”, says Christer Zaar, CEO Actic.

Asker Treningssenter has a turnover of almost SEK 40 million annually and is expected to contribute positively to the Group’s EBITDA margin.

“For 10 years, we have developed Asker Treningssenter into a very good business, and now it is the right time to hand over to a larger, more established player with the same focus. We see that our members will join a good context as the offer is broadened, while our fantastic employees will get the opportunity to develop in a larger group”, says Leif Nilsen and Jan Johannessen, principal owner of Asker Treningssenter.

The takeover of the three fitness centers will take place on December 1, 2018. The acquisition will have a marginal positive effect on the Group’s earnings this year.

“The acquisition should be seen as a part of Actic’s growth strategy and strengthens our platform in Norway. We see a high level of activity in the industry’s consolidation, which is accelerated by an increased digitalization”, says Christer Zaar, CEO Actic.
