SWATS - awarded "Best Business Proposition" Affärsstrategerna's portfolio company Swedish Advanced Technology Systems (SWATS) won the prize for "Best Business Proposition" during The Late Stage and IPO Forum in Münich. During the forum 43 of Europe's hottest technology companies presented themselves to 300 leading international investors, financial advisors, leading CEOs, guests and the media. SWATS´ business idea is to develop and market the SWATS Display-Card to penetrate the high end of the global SmartCard market. SWATS will seek strategic partnerships with companies who can produce the card, integrate the card in applications and can offer a wide distribution net. The SWATS Display-Card is an ISO7816 compatible card with a integrated LCD display and browse buttons. The integrated display enables the cardholder to, off- line, read information stored on the card. The information is automatically updated whenever the card is processed in a card reader. The operating system is fully compatible with any host system operating SmartCards, and can therefore easily be integrated in any existing applications. The card is fit with a lithium battery giving the card a life span of 2 years.
