Agellis Group AB has received an order totaling 150 KEuro for an upgrade of two

level measuring systems. The order comes from a copper plant in Europe.

The order relates to the measurement systems “EMLI-T” and EMLI-M”. The systems

measure metal level in a runner and respectively in a mould. The systems are installed

in a continuous casting machine and are very important for the quality and yield of the

product produced.

Delivery and installation is expected to be made during the fourth quarter of 2015.

"The plant is very satisfied with our measuring solutions and with the upgrade they can

increase the quality on the products produced, says Patrik Bloemer, CEO of Agellis."

For competitive reasons Agellis chooses not to mention the end user plant by name.

“All Agellis products are based on a common electronic platform called EMLI. EMLI T

(Tundish) measures the metal level in a tundish or runner with high accuracy,

independent of slag and powder thickness. A reliable measurement of the metal level in

the tundish or runner helps the plant to increase production and obtain a higher yield.

The EMLI-M measures molten metal with high precision in the mould during casting.

The sensor is very close to the metal and must therefore meet very high survival and

environmental standards. Good level measurement of the molten metal in the mould is a

prerequisite for a smooth, high quality metal production.”
