Aker ASA : Disclosure Requirement

Øyvind Eriksen holds 71,000 shares in Aker ASA through his company Erøy AS.
Eriksen has as of 16 April 2012 been granted proxies to vote - without voting
instructions - for a total of 49,569.998 shares, equivalent to 68.64 percent of
the share capital and the votes of the company, at the ordinary general meeting
on 19 April 2012. The proxies shall only apply at the said general meeting.

The proxies imply that Øyvind Eriksen at the ordinary general meeting in Aker
ASA on 19 April 2012 may cast votes for a total of 49,49,640,998 shares,
equivalent to 68.74 per cent of the share capital and the votes of the company.
