The Assange interview has been translated

The prosecutors have received the greater part of the translation of the interview with Julian Assange from November.

In early January, the Ecuadorian authorities submitted a report to the Swedish prosecutors on the interview with Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London. The report was then sent for translation, which is now almost completed. The translation of the interview has been submitted to Assange’s Swedish lawyers.

The prosecutors are still waiting for the translation of some minor parts of the report. These are expected to be completed shortly.

The prosecutors will now analyse the report and will thereafter decide what further investigative measures may be taken. For confidentiality reasons, the prosecutors cannot provide information on which investigative measures they intend to conduct, nor when they will take place.

More information will be provided when possible.
