The Historic Inns of Annapolis celebrates its 12th Annual Downtown Annapolis Wedding Fair

The Historic Inns of Annapolis celebrates its 12th Annual Downtown Annapolis Wedding Fair and treats engaged couples to a first peak at spring wedding trends on Sunday March 22nd, 2015. Director of Catering, Michelle Vellon says “We schedule our Wedding Fair to debut with spring each year. After a long cold winter, it is a breath of fresh air to showcase spring and other wedding trends to couples looking to plan their weddings. Our show vendors go all out to ‘dress’ our venue in the year’s most popular wedding styles”.

Forbes Traveler Magazine named Annapolis one of the east coast’s “most romantic towns” and every year the city is host to scores of weddings. The Historic Inns of Annapolis is the “crown jewel” of the downtown Annapolis wedding venues and their Wedding Fair is designed to enable couples looking for a destination wedding to realize the potential for weddings in Historic Annapolis. While visiting the Wedding Fair, couples can imagine their wedding in the heart of the Maryland State capital, walking distance from the glorious Chesapeake Bay waterfront and the stirring sites and sounds of the United States Naval Academy. In the heart of it all are the elegantly charming facilities of the three unique inns that comprise the Historic Inns of Annapolis, where Presidents, Statesmen, and especially wedding couples have been coming for over 250 years.

This year’s Wedding Fair will be located in The Governor Calvert House where guests will be treated to many delectable samples of the Historic Inns fine wedding foods and signature drinks while viewing the wedding venue fully decorated to show couples the many possibilities for their special day decor and activities. Guests will also meet with the area’s best wedding vendors for items and services to help plan their occasion including award-winning photographers, musicians, DJ’s, cakes and confections, stationery and many others. Attendees will be eligible to win one of  several grand prizes given away at the Fair including a two night stay plus dinner and free parking at the Historic Inns.

The Historic Inns of Annapolis strives to make each couple’s wedding event one-of-a-kind by not only offering the “18th century charm with 21st century convenience” of their accommodations and wedding venues, but also in partnering with local businesses and historic sites. Mike Radike, General Manager says “Annapolis is rich with opportunities for couples to take advantage of during their destination wedding event. With our assistance, historic tours, boating excursions and other unique ‘Annapolis’ experiences can all be part of the occasion. Our convenient location at the heart of the city coupled with our modern accommodations and services in historic buildings makes us the number one choice for an Annapolis destination wedding”.

The 12th Annual Historic Inns of Annapolis Wedding Fair takes place on Sunday, March 22, 2015; from noon to 3 p.m. Tickets are available for $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
