Alde sponsor the caravan of the future in Qatar
The Swedish company Alde is sponsoring a unique project in Qatar where the future of motor camping is being created. Behind the project is Matt Attenborough and Qatar University. The next-generation caravan will have a modern design, intelligent technology and better construction materials than ever before… And Alde's heating system.
“It's a unique and innovative project that has already drawn considerable attention,” says Håkan Streimer, Sales and Marketing Manager at Alde. “For us it's extremely exciting to have the opportunity to participate as a partner.”
The project is called New Generation, led by Matt Attenborough from the USA. He felt that the development of caravans and motorhomes had stagnated, and moving to Qatar he began dreaming of the future's mobile living. He’s now finished drawings for the caravan of his dreams and has begun crowdfunding. As soon as $125,000 target is achieved, construction of the prototype will begin, which is scheduled for presentation next winter.
The future's caravan will feature significant advancements and innovations. It will have a one-piece casting in fibreglass, which is longer lasting, stronger and lighter than conventional solutions; a lavish interior and smart technology throughout. It will also have slide-outs in all directions to provide large and flexible spaces.
Alde manufactures heating systems for caravans and motorhomes with the focus on quality and innovation. The factory is located in Färlöv, outside Kristianstad in Sweden, and today the company is the world leader in its field and is represented in markets across the globe. Alde will be contributing the heating system for the prototype, and will provide onsite support during production in Qatar when the time comes.
