Henrico-based Allianz Global Assistance USA today named the recipients of the final wave of its 2014 corporate giving program. The company’s Travel Aid Grant (TAG) program supports non-profit organizations across the country whose project, program or initiative is enhanced or achieved through travel.

Travel Aid Grants are administered by the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility team, which meets twice a year to award grants based on a program’s merits and beneficiaries.   During this contribution wave, Allianz Global Assistance awarded two organizations $5,000 each for a total of $10,000.  Total grants through the TAG program have now reached $60,000.

Recipients of the final wave of 2014 philanthropic grants are:

The Bon Secours Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Virginia

“Make-A-Wish serves a unique and vital role in helping strengthen and empower children who are battling life threatening medical conditions,” said Sheri Lambert, CEO of The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Virginia.  “We truly appreciate the support of our corporate partners in this important mission and we are so pleased to have been selected as a TAG grant recipient.”

"We’re proud to call Richmond home and we’re proud to support those organizations that serve the Richmond community,” said Mike Nelson, CEO of Allianz Global Assistance USA. “Organizations such as these that serve the needs of sick children and their families are vital to our community and we’re honored to support them.”
