Allianz Global Assistance Wins Two National Travel Industry Awards
Adding to its cache of travel industry trophies, Allianz Global Assistance USA has won two Magellan Awards from Travel Weekly, the travel industry’s most influential national trade publication. The company has won two gold trophies for its accomplishments in travel insurance technology and distribution.
The company received two gold trophies for its AgentMaxOnline travel insurance platform for travel agents. Both of the Magellan wins were in the Travel Agent/Agency Category.
The AgentMaxOnline platform is designed to help travel agents access and present Allianz Travel Insurance quickly and easily and includes the ability to email, print and save quotes and confirmations. It also offers a simple way to modify or cancel a policy directly from AgentMax, onscreen plan comparisons and robust reporting and administrative features, including the ability to customize the product display.
Originally created as a software-based platform, AgentMaxOnline was created at the end of 2015 to remove the barriers associated with software, such as restrictions on operating systems and the need to push out software updates. The platform has also been redesigned from the ground up using agents to test features and provide feedback on enhancements. AgentMaxOnline is mobile optimized and adapts to whatever device is being used (desktop, tablet or phone) so that agents can access it whenever and wherever they want on any device.
The Travel Weekly Magellan Awards honor the best in travel and salute outstanding travel professionals in a broad range of industry segments, including hotels and resorts, travel destinations, cruise lines, online travel services, airlines and airports, travel agents and agencies, tour operators, and car rental companies.
“We’re proud that our award-winning AgentMax platform has been recognized at this year’s Magellan Awards,” said Christian Schlebusch, director of partner solutions of Allianz Global Assistance USA. “We’re dedicated to creating the best tools to make offering travel insurance fast and simple for our travel agent partners, and we’re grateful that the judges have opted to recognize our accomplishments.”
The Magellan Awards are judged and overseen by a one-of-a-kind panel of top travel professionals representing the best names and most accomplished leaders from the industry. In determining winners, entries do not compete with one another, instead they are judged against a standard of excellence based on the long experience of Travel Weekly. To uphold this high standard of excellence, a category may have multiple winners, or may have no winners at all.
“This year’s winners continue to raise the bar, establishing themselves as not just the most
talented and creative people in the travel industry, but among the most creative and talented of any industry,” said Arnie Weissmann, editor in chief of Travel Weekly. “The creativity that travel industry marketers and designers display to inspire travel and enhance the travel experience continues to impress our expert judges and readers.”
