Tomi Lähdeniemi
, 41, Master of Arts, has been appointed Senior Editor-in-Chief of Satakunnan Kansa as of 1 March 2015.  He has been acting as the newspaper’s Senior Editor-in-Chief on a temporary basis since the end of September 2014.  Satakunnan Kansa is a part of the Alma Regional Media product family.

According to Lähdeniemi, it is the newspaper’s task to continue producing high-quality journalistic content to suit the interests of the people in the region.

"Satakunnan Kansa has gained the trust of the people in the region; this can be seen in the very high reader numbers of both the printed newspaper and the online service. This is a great foundation to build on, but we need to regain that trust every day", he notes.

He states that being a Satakunta local himself, he knows the region well, and, thanks to his long working history, he is also well acquainted with the employees of Satakunnan Kansa.

"I know what we are capable of. We have an excellent basis for running a successful regional newspaper", Lähdeniemi continues.
