Ambea has been nominated for Årets samhällsaktör 2016 – an award recognising organisations, businesses or initiatives that have successfully contributed to positive social development. The award scheme was created by communications agency Gullers Grupp. In order to be shortlisted, nominees must have ‘highlighted new perspectives’, ‘influenced the political agenda’ or ‘shown commitment to developing society in the broadest sense rather than within the range of their own business interests’.

The winners will be announced during the Gullers Grupp winter get-together on 26 January in Stockholm. Read more and cast your vote at samhällsaktörer.se.

Other nominees are: Refugees Welcome Sweden, #jagärhär, Fatta, Stockholms Stadsmission, Unga mot antisemitism och främlingsfientlighet, Östersunds FK, Svenskt vatten, Mitt Liv, Hej Främling, Suicide Zero and Kompisbyrån

Nominations have been put forward by a panel of experts. This is the third year that Gullers Grupp will be presenting the award.

“Ambea has been nominated based on our project to offer internships to asylum seekers in collaboration with the Swedish Migration Agency, Migrationsverket. It’s an honour to be the only business company among so many other significant organisations to be nominated for such a prestigious award,” says Ambea CEO Fredrik Gren.
