Great Minds Meet to Educate on Laser Medicine

Wausau, WI – The American Society of Laser Medicine & Surgery, Inc. (ASLMS) will be hosting the 2013 Laser Aesthetics Course on November 2 and 3 at the Beckman Laser Institute in Irvine, CA in which the latest on light based energy technology will be revealed.

This course is designed for anyone who desires to have a deeper understanding of how lasers work and then apply that knowledge to accomplish optimum clinical outcomes. It is made for individuals in the industry who currently use or are investigating the use of lasers and other light based technology in an array of clinical aesthetic applications.

Past attendees said, "[…] a congruence of several great minds with an arsenal of experience to educate those looking into exploring the possibility of laser medicine.”

Topics include hair removal, vascular lesions, skin tightening, skin rejuvenation, acne scars, port wine stains, irregular pigmentations, nevi, melasma, and video endpoints of popular clinical applications.

Course directors include Gerald N. Goldberg, M.D., J. Stuart Nelson, M.D., Ph.D., Emil Tanghetti, M.D., and E. Victor Ross, M.D.

Providing medical, surgical, cosmetic, and laser dermatology, Gerald N. Goldberg, M.D., has his own private practice at Pima Dermatology in Tucson, AZ.

J. Stuart Nelson, M.D. Ph.D. is the medical director of the Beckman Laser Institute and Medical Clinic. Dr. Nelson is on the ASLMS board of directors. 

With a special interest in laser medicine and surgery, Emil A. Tanghetti, M.D., lectures and publishes on topics such as those being presented at the course.

E. Victor Ross, M.D. is the director of the Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology Center at Scripps Clinic in San Diego.

Registration is $875 for ASLMS members or applicants, $1,175 for non-members, and $200 for students and residents. All registrants will be provided free access to an online "primer" course as part of the program. The "primer" course is valued at $150. Enrollment is limited to 45 individuals.
