In-Situ Radiactive Waste Assay Software Offers 64-Bit Compatabilty and Enhanced Functionality

The ORTEC Products Group of AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology has announced the release of enhanced ISOTOPIC software for In-Situ Radioactive Waste Assay. ISOTOPIC provides a practical and flexible solution for delivering defendable results for in-situ assays of all types of gamma-emitting waste, fissile and non-fissile, in a variety of containers of varying shapes and sizes.

The new release provides 64-Bit compatibility thereby enabling it to be used with the latest operating systems. It supports a wide range of ORTEC spectroscopy hardware, making system upgrades easy and cost-effective. Some exciting new functionality has been added, including the ability to assay “grab samples” in situ in containers such as 1-liter bottles. Reporting flexibility also has been enhanced.

Tim Twomey, Product Manager for Waste Assay Products states: “The essence of the ISOTOPIC software product since its inception has been practicality, flexibility and defendability. In the latest version, we have retained those desirable attributes, while broadening applicability to newer operating systems and a wider range of samples and reporting requirements. This new software is a great addition to our recently introduced ISOCART-85 in situ assay system.”
