ÅF Group wins Akzo Nobel assignment

ÅF Group wins Akzo Nobel assignment The ÅF Group has prevailed over fierce competition to secure the assignment to plan a new production line for Akzo Nobel's operations in Örnsköldsvik, in the north-east of Sweden. The project will extend to 12,000 consulting hours and will require the skills and expertise of around 15 ÅF Group consultants within the fields of process technology, IT, and electrical, mechanical and HVAC engineering. The short project time, together with the use of new technology places great demands on the consulting engineers. One of the motivations for selecting the ÅF Group for this exacting assignment was the fact that the company can offer a complete full-service solution. Akzo Nobel has 68,000 employees and operations in 75 countries. The company supplies its customers with pharmaceuticals, paints, coatings and chemicals. The Akzo Nobel Group's revenues for 1999 (excluding the Acordis company) amounted to approximately SEK 110 billion. Acordis, formerly responsible for fibres within the Akzo Nobel product portfolio, was sold to CVC Capital Partners at the end of 1999 AB ÅNGPANNEFÖRENINGEN Corporate Information For further information: Kaj Sandart, Director, Corporate Information, ÅF Group +46 (0)8-657 11 85 ------------------------------------------------------------ This information was brought to you by BIT http://www.bit.se The following files are available for download: http://www.bit.se/bitonline/2000/09/06/20000906BIT00150/bit0001.doc http://www.bit.se/bitonline/2000/09/06/20000906BIT00150/bit0002.pdf
