AniCura, one of Europe’s leading providers of high-quality veterinary care for companion animals, acquires Tierklinik Korneuburg north of Vienna. The partnership broadens AniCura's offering of advanced veterinary care in Austria, while providing Tierklinik Korneuburg with a strong platform for continued professional development, scientific knowledge exchange and veterinary cooperation.

Tierklinik Korneuburg was founded in 1989 by Dr. Karl Grohmann. In 1990, Dr. Otto Fischer joined and in 2010, Dr. Thomas Wiebogen stepped in as a third partner. The clinic attends approximately 10 000 patients each year, of which more than a fifth are referrals. The team comprises approximately 16 members of staff of which six are veterinarians.

The clinic offers considerable expertise in several areas, with two Veterinary Specialists (Fachtierärzte) who are also senior lecturers at the Veterinary University of Vienna. Specialist competence is provided in dermatology, oncology, ophthalmology, surgery, orthopaedics, traditional Chinese veterinary medicine and a specialized “Pain Ambulance”. The clinic facilities were originally built in 2004 and have been carefully renovated in the past years to include surgery theatres, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, nursing wards and a dedicated area for chemotherapeutic treatments.
