Lawsuit claiming patent infringements by Asetek dismissed as lacking controversy

San Jose, March 2nd 2015 - On Friday, February 27, 2015, a federal judge in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, granted Asetek's motion to dismiss Asia Vital Component's (“AVC”) case against Asetek, which AVC filed on September 30, 2014. The court ruled that AVC had not pleaded a justiciable case or controversy, that the court thus does not have jurisdiction to hear the case, and that AVC's case will be dismissed without prejudice.
