Aspiro increases its customerbase with four operators and portals

During February, Aspiro has signed sales agreements with several new operators and mobile portals: Telstra, Sonera Zed, Telecom One and Westel. Additionally, Aspiro has signed complementary sales contracts with three existing operator customers in Europe and the US.

Australian Telstra, with eight million subscribers whereof one million active WAP-users, has signed a 12-month license agreement regarding three WAP-based services from Aspiro. First service to be delivered is "LifeStylers", a community game which is already running at operators Orange France, Voicestream USA and Tele2 in Sweden among others. The game has shown to be very popular on existing markets. Generally, Aspiro is experiencing a strong demand for Java-applications. Today, Aspiro is offering a product portfolio of more than 60 attractive color Java-games within the categories action, logic, sports, arcade and racing. Mobile portal Sonera Zed has signed a frame agreement with Aspiro covering all of Sonera Zed's six geographical markets. Initially, ten Java-games will be launched on the British market, followed by launches on the remaining markets within short. Hungarian operator Westel, having 3.5 million subscribers has signed an agreement with Aspiro regarding Java-games. Orange Denmark, with 600,000 subscribers, has bought eight Java-games initially running for twelve months. The agreement is of strategic importance as the Danish operator is the driving force within the Orange Group regarding mobile game applications. One of Aspiro’s American customers has signed a complementary order of 15 new Java-games. ”After a tough period during December-January, when the company was in a reorganisation process, it feels like we are back on track", says Håkan Persson, CEO of Aspiro.
