Schibsted’s CFO proposed as new chairman of the Aspiro board

The Aspiro Election Committee has informed the company of its intention to propose the Annual General Meeting on May 19 2011, the re-election of the board members Peter Pay, Lars Boilesen, Åsa Sundberg and Gisle Glück Evensen. The Election Committee will also propose that Trond Berger, representing Schibsted ASA will be elected as new board member. Further, Trond Berger will be proposed as chairman of the board.

Aspiro’s main owner Schibsted ASA has through the Election Committee’s work declared its intention to become a significantly more active shareholder in Aspiro. Correspondingly, Schibsted aims to increase its representation in the Aspiro board with one person, who will also be suggested as chairman.

Trond Berger, who will be proposed as new chairman of the board, is born in 1957. Mr. Berger is a B.Sc (Econ.) and is CFO of Schibsted ASA. He has previously worked for among others Nycomed ASA and Arthur Andersen.

The Election Committee for the AGM 2011 consists of Gisle Glück Evensen (chairman) representing Schibsted, Björn Franzon representing Swedbank Robur Fonder and private investor Odd Winger.

The complete proposal of the Election Committee will be stated in the notice convening the AGM and will be available on Aspiro’s Website, www.aspiro.com, as of the publishing of the notice.
