Offering quality, service and value have been key to the successful growth of Glossop Cartons, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of bespoke cartons and packaging products, and the same criteria applied for its choice of a new truck for its flexible, efficient and reliable delivery service - a 7.5 tonne new DAF LF Euro 6.
Apart from the low cost of ownership offered by DAF trucks, with an annual mileage of around 50,000 miles, the efficiency of the new LF’s 150 bhp PACCAR PX-5 engine also ticked the right boxes for the company. It will be delivering thousands of cartons, shelf displays, cardboard sleeves and packaging used to display or protect a huge variety of products we buy frequently such as food, batteries or clothing.
Over the last 30 years, Glossop Cartons has continually invested in the latest technology and machinery for its innovative packaging solutions as well as its delivery fleet, and its new DAF LF is the first model on its fleet to comply with the latest Euro 6 emissions standards. The truck was supplied via the DAF dealer in Liverpool, North West Trucks.

The branded curtainside body is designed to be as convenient to use as possible. For easy loading, it has a side loading aperture of 2350mm and rear doors with internal dimensions of 6248 mm long by 2440 mm wide and 2540 mm internal height. A cab roof deflector and cad side collars aid airflow over the body to help reduce fuel consumption.
