Trade registration is now open for Europe’s largest motorsport show, Autosport International, which returns to Birmingham’s NEC on 8-11 January 2015 for the 25th consecutive year. Exhibitors from around the world will showcase a number of the latest developments over two dedicated trade days, 8-9 January.

The UK remains the global leader when it comes to motorsport. It’s a £9 billion* industry, with eight of the 11 Formula One teams currently based in the country and a range of companies continuing to supply the sector with technologically-advanced products. Over its 25-year history, Autosport Engineering has played an important role in providing a platform for visitors to network, while keeping up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in the sector.

Since its introduction in 1991, Autosport International has attracted the industry’s biggest companies. One such exhibitor is Quaife Engineering, with Mark Catterall, Commercial Manager, commenting: “We have attended every Autosport International since the show’s inception as it provides a successful platform to launch products as well as propel our market-leading brand forward. Quaife celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2015 so we are currently busy making plans to commemorate the occasion at January’s show.”

Exhibitors that have already signed up to the 2015 show include returning companies such as AP Racing, Brembo, DC Electronics, Eibach, Xtrac and Zircotec, alongside newcomers to the event, such as Euro CNC, Sandwell UK and Trelleborg Sealing.

To cement the event’s place at the centre of technological development within the motorsport industry, the show continues to evolve. For 2015, a new Low Carbon Racing and Automotive Show (LCRA) will launch, taking place alongside Autosport Engineering. The LCRA show will provide visitors with the opportunity to see some of the latest low carbon technological innovations, with partners providing further insight, including the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA), sustainable engineering educator Greenpower and fuel efficiency and emissions data company Emission Analytics.

Ian France, Autosport International Show Director, said: “Over its 25-year history, Autosport International has established itself as the principal networking opportunity for companies, engineers, trade buyers and decision makers and 2015 looks set to be no different. There has been some stand-out moments over the years, including the unveiling of a ground-breaking all-electric prototype racing car by Drayson Racing Technologies, the introduction of the R40 concept car from Quaife, along with a host of other product launches that have since gone on to help change the face of the motorsport industry.

“With the introduction of the Low Carbon Racing and Automotive Show, along with the exciting range of exhibitors already signed up for Autosport Engineering 2015, the future of the show looks bright. We look forward to continuing to play a key role in helping to develop the partnerships that will help change the face of motorsport over the next 25 years.”
