Britain’s newest Formula 1 driver, Will Stevens has joined the guest list for next month’s Autosport International in Birmingham, where Europe’s biggest motorsport show will celebrate its 25thanniversary.

Among the next generation of local talent, Stevens made his F1 debut in Abu Dhabi’s season finale with Caterham F1 Team, finishing 17th.

His Grand Prix debut followed a strong season in the competitive Formula Renault 3.5 Series, in which the 23-year-old won two races on his way to sixth in the standings. The likes of Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo and Kevin Magnussen have previously graduated to Formula 1 from the class.

“It’s been an amazing month, getting the opportunity to make my Formula 1 debut with Caterham F1 Team and following that with two days testing the car. I learnt a lot, which I’ll hopefully be able to use in the future,” Stevens said.

“Throughout, I received fantastic support from passionate British fans, many of whom backed the team’s crowd-funding efforts to race, so I’m excited about seeing everyone at Autosport International in January.”

During the show’s public days, 10-11 January, Stevens will be joined by BBC F1 commentator and 13-time GP winner David Coulthard, new FIA World Rallycross Champion Petter Solberg, Le Mans legend Allan McNish and Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Champions Colin Turkington, Matt Neal, Andrew Jordan and Gordon Shedden. More stars will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Will Stevens was among a group of British young guns we enjoyed hosting at Autosport International 2014,” said Ian France, Autosport International Show Director.

“Naturally, we’ve been following his journey throughout the year and it was fantastic to see Will make his Formula 1 debut in Abu Dhabi. We’re looking forward to hearing all about that experience first-hand at the NEC in January, as he looks ahead to 2015.”

Accompanying the stars of motorsport, Autosport International 2015 will feature exclusive displays spanning every level of the sport, led by the popular F1 Racing Grid. Other collections will showcase touring car racing, historics, rallying and sports cars, while the Live Action Arena will host adrenaline-filled racing, stunts and demonstrations.

Under the same roof, the Performance Car Show, presented by Landsail Tyres, in association with Autocar and PistonHeads.com will be packed with supercars and high-performance favourites, including the first opportunity to see a selection of winners of the What Car? Awards 2015.

Tickets to Autosport International are available from £32 for adults, with children’s tickets priced from £21 and children under five years admitted for free. For tickets, visit www.autosportinternational.com.
