Avtec console application is compatible with key Avaya communication solutions

EXINGTON, SC--(Marketwired - October 08, 2013) - Avtec, a leading provider of pure Internet Protocol (IP) dispatch console systems, today announced that its Scout™ application is compliant with key communication solutions from Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communication software and services.

Avtec’s Scout solution connects any telephone or radio endpoint to any dispatcher at any time, providing customers with “any-to-any” communication capability for improved operational efficiency. Avtec’s Scout application is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Communication Server 1000 Release 7.5.

“With the completion of DevConnect Compliance Testing, Avtec continues to demonstrate its excellent record of meeting technology interface challenges,” said Avtec’s Director of Product Marketing, Michael Ridge. “Our clients can be assured that these products have undergone rigorous testing with Avaya and have proven interoperability for mission-critical call centers.”

Avtec is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program — an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.

As a Technology Partner, Avtec is eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compatible. Doing so enables businesses to confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

“Technology partners like Avtec that provide IP dispatching for call centers are helping Avaya offer integrated solutions to our mutual customers,” said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations, Avaya. “A communications network built on IP technology allows utility dispatch operators to maintain reliable communications with their field personnel and keep them safe, especially in disaster management situations.”
