Houston -  El Tigre Silver Corp. (TSX.V: ELS; OTC: EGRTF) reported good results from drill hole ET-27 this morning, coming in well above expectations on the Company's Espuelas Canyon drill program at El Tigre Silver's 43,000 hectare mining concessions in Sonora, Mexico.

El Tigre Silver President Stuart Ross said the mineralization was "encouraging" in that the report indicated "higher than expected" gold grades.

In a more-detailed news release this morning, Ross revealed that, "There are significant intercepts of higher grade mineralization in ET-24 and ET-27 ( 2.8 metres of 242 grams per metric ton ("g/T") silver and 3.170 g/T gold) along the El Tigre vein in areas that we believed were mined out, we are all now anxiously awaiting assays from each new hole."

In that release, El Tigre Silver disclosed the highlights of its drilling program in Espuelas Canyon that gave highlights from each hole and assay intercepts tabulated in detail in ET-23, ET-24, ET-25, ET-27.

Drill hole ET-27 was drilled from the site of ET-26 south 75 west inclined 45 southwest.  Previously, El Tigre Silver had announced on April 13, 2011 that drill hole ET-26 had encountered the "strongest mineralization to date."  Ross stated in that release that, "It is important to note that drill hole ET-26 is in an area where no workings were encountered. This indicates to us that to the original miners left substantial material with grades similar to our results."

The current drill results buoy El Tigre Silver's outlook toward further mine development.
