Brown Brothers Engineers/Kelair Pumps, part of AxFlow, the Fluid Handling Solutions business group of Axel Johnson International, is strengthening its service offering with the acquisition of GT Water Technologies (GT Water). GT Water is a family-owned company specialised in services around fire water tanks to the building and fire safety markets in the Melbourne area.

Established in 2012 and now with 11 employees, GT Water is a young, fast-growing company based in Melbourne. GT Water is particularly strong in pump systems and assemblies with the main products being the storage tanks and systems for fire suppression, hydraulic systems for storm water, sewage and domestic hot water, as well as pump service and installation for industry.

“Although a young company, GT Water has quickly established its service business, demonstrated strong, profitable growth and has a proven record of taking market shares,” says Ole Weiner, CEO, AxFlow Holding. “This is in line with AxFlow’s strategy of adding value through product selection, system design and construction, as well as local service.”

John Inkster, Managing Director of Brown Brother Engineers/Kelair Pumps, also sees considerable potential in the acquisition. “This is an opportunity for Kelair to expand its footprint in the building and fire protection markets,” he says. “It also presents an opportunity for Kelair to bring fire water storage tanks into other regions in Australia.”
