BehavioSec winner ‘Best of Show’ at Finovate Spring 2012
BehavioSec is delighted to be named ‘Best of Show’ at Finovate 2012 in San Francisco, a conference
showcasing the future of financial and banking technology.
After a demo of BehavioMobile, their behavioral biometric solution for financial applications to enhance e.g. PIN code entry, BehavioSec got voted ‘Best of Show’ at Finovate Spring in San Francisco.
After seeing 63 demos over two packed days, the audience voted for their three favorites each day. The top seven overall were named ‘Best of Show’. BehavioSec was awarded: “for its new security layer based on user typing/swiping patterns.”
Correct PIN code not enough
BehavioSec is showing the answer to the mobile security problem. It's no longer sufficient to enter the correct PIN code or pattern; it has to be entered in the correct way.
BehavioMobile adds a layer of behavioral analytics to a financial app (such as a banking application), making sure it can only be accessed by a typing or swiping sequence that is uniquely connected to that person's biometrics.
Anyone attempting to access the app has to use the correct pressure, velocity, and acceleration, and they must combine this with the correct sequence speed and key-flight before they can access it.
