Stig Lindberg, probably most recognised for his classic green leaves tableware design 'Berså', had hoped to become a painter. He studied at the School of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Lindberg joined Gustavsberg, one of the most prominent ceramic factories in Sweden, where he worked as artistic director until 1980. Through the years, Stig Lindberg received a number of awards including the Prince Eugen Medal and the Grand Prix at Milan Triennale Exhibition.
