Duncan Eyre, 41, has joined Bibby Distribution in the newly created role of Development Director. He will be responsible for expanding Bibby’s existing customer relationships and pro-actively developing new opportunities for growth.

Eyre will lead the business development and marketing teams within Bibby Distribution and take overall responsibility for account development, reporting directly to Paul Kavanagh, Chief Operating Officer.

“I’m looking forward to contributing to the success of the business; Bibby has a great reputation in the marketplace and well-established customer relationships. I’m aiming to build on this strong base and shape the future strategy, product offering and account management process. I’m excited to be joining an organisation with a strong track record, and ambitious plans for growth,” says Eyre.

Formerly Commercial Director at Norbert Dentressangle Transport Services, Eyre brings with him more than 20 years’ experience in the logistics sector. This includes an in-depth knowledge of the food, grocery and automotive sectors, with his career including six years at Exel Logistics plus two years at Whitbread Food Logistics.

“I am delighted that Duncan has joined the team,” says Kavanagh. “He has an ideal mix of commercial and operational skills and it’s this combination that will help to drive our development activities going forward. I am confident Duncan will become a key asset to the business.”
