The business-information company Bisnode has today finalized the sale of its subsidiary Bisnode Applicate AB, whose operations has been conducted within Bisnode Information AB. The buyer is the IT-consultancy Knowit. The sale is part of a process of refining Bisnode’s operations as a supplier of credit, market and business information.

Knowit takes over customers that mainly puchase services such as system development and system administration. 21 Bisnode employees in Malmö and Stockholm will consequently join Knowit’s forces. Bisnode Applicate has its main operations in Malmö. The sale will not have a substantial impact on Bisnode’s results.

“The part of our operations that has been sold offers system development and system administration with a focus on IT consultancy, and therefore has a different business model than the rest of Bisnode’s operations. The sale is a natural step towards refining Bisnode as a supplier of high-quality decision support”, says Björn-Erik Karlsson, Bisnode’s Regional Director Nordic.

”This acquisition brings us several interesting customers in the private and public sector, and supplements our operations. We also strengthen our ability to deliver qualified system development and system administration. The acquisition is in line with our strategy to offer commitment to overall responsibility”, says Mats Ohlsson, responsible for acquisitions at Knowit.
