The AGM on 16 April elected three new members to Bisnode’s Board of Directors according to the proposal of the Nominating Committee. The proposal included re-election of sitting Board Chairman Ingrid Engström, new election of Carl-Johan Bonnier, Henrik Blomé and Mikael Norlander, and re-election of sitting Board members Philip Cotter, Anders Eriksson, Jochen Gutbrod and Andreas Schönenberger. Former Board members Henrik Joelsson and Jonas Nyrén and former deputy member Cecilia Lundberg resigned in connection with the AGM.

Bisnode entering two new markets in Central Europe

Bisnode is expanding its offering in southern Central Europe by acquiring a sales-oriented information business in Serbia and establishing a new sales office in Bosnia-Hercegovina. Bisnode will thus be present in 19 European markets.

Most of the fears that cast an ominous shadow over the European region at the beginning of 2012 did not materialize. The effects of the financial crises were mostly contained to the afflicted economies; the DACH region remained stable and the Nordics and Central Europe experienced slightly higher levels of volatility. Bisnode’s Insolvencies and Foundations Q4 report indicates that the European economy as a whole is moving in a positive direction.

Baby DM Scandinavia offers marketing solutions targeted towards young families and parent to be. The divestment is in line with Bisnode’s strategy to streamline its business and focus on growth in the core offering.

Adjusted for seasonal factors, the trend of decreased foundations and increased bankruptcies remains. Phil Cotter appointed acting CMO for Bisnode

Bisnode has initiated a work of change that will move the company in the direction of its full potential on all markets. As an essential part of this work, Bisnode’s management group is restructured and complemented with a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who will set the overall direction of Bisnode Group’s marketing strategy and product offering. Until the recruitment process is finished, Bisnode Board member Phil Cotter will be acting CMO. Cotter will start in mid-August and stay on the Board alongside his new engagement.
