Bravida has signed a general agreement with Sund & Bælt A/S, concerning the service and maintenance of electrical installations, automation, cooling, pumps and HVAC systems at the Great Belt ridge, which runs between two of Denmark’s largest islands. The general agreement, with a total value of approximately SEK 75.7 million, is valid for two years, with the option of extension for another two years.

During the construction of the bridge, Bravida was responsible for the electric installations, both in the tunnel and on the bridge itself. Also, Bravida was the sub-contractor within several areas of installation.

– It feels great that we are once again entrusted to work at the Great Belt Bridge, which is one of Denmark’s most important traffic routes. We have a highly competent organisation with experience from the construction of both the Great Belt Bridge and the Öresund Bridge, says Morten Reedtz Kjellev, kommunikationschef Bravida, Division Danmark.

Proactive maintenance will minimise the long-term costs.

– We are looking forward to working with Bravida. The Great Belt Fixed Link is continuously maintained and developed, with the goal of minimising long-term cost. With the gradual increase in traffic comes an increased focus on the installations of the road and the railroad, ensuring a safe and secure journey, says Lars Fuhr Pedersen, technical director of Sund & Bælt A/S.

Bravida will start the service and maintenance work on 1 June, 2016.
