Askews advises that now is the best time to start up business

Although the unemployment rate was last reported at 8.4%, its highest since 1995, Coventry-based chartered certified accountants Askews are giving hope to budding entrepreneurs by sending out the message that it is the best time to start up business.

In January, the Office of National Statistics (ONS) announced the unemployment figure to be 2.67 million, and with many of these people being highly skilled employees it damages morale to the rest of businesses throughout the nation. However the message from Askews is that despite the current dismal economy causing job losses for managers, executives and professionals the time has never been better to embrace their entrepreneurial skills and start businesses of their own.

Last month George Osborne announced in the 2012 budget that the Office for Budget Responsibility forecasts unemployment to peak this year at 8.7%, meaning even more employees will be out of work this year. As a result there are talks about making enterprise loans available to young people who want to start up their own businesses. Askews is now making business people aware of how more startup businesses can aid in pulling the UK out of the current economic downturn.

Earlier this month, it was reported that unemployment in the Coventry area had soared to worrying levels with more than 1,500 additional people claiming jobseekers allowance in the city during January and February. It has long been true that entrepreneurship rises when unemployment does, and Askews wants to restore the faith in professionals across the region who have recently joined the ranks of the unemployed.

Askews can offer all the accountancy support needed in setting up your own business. The company now offers a complete online cost-effective accounting website where you can get quotes instantly, making the process of entering the business world even swifter. Their services are tailored to match each client’s requirements and they can even act as the accounts department which saves the in-house overhead, a benefit for any startup company.

Neil Askew, managing director of Askews Accountants said: The time has never been better to start your own business from a tax and accountancy point of view. We are urging any entrepreneurs out there who are considering starting up their own business, or who may already be in the initial stages, to come to us for advice on the handling of their accounts.

As well as solid business advice and guidance to help keep you on track, other services include project budgeting, management accounts, interim reports, profit optimisation and, annual accounts preparation.
