Ovation Systems invests in SYSPRO ERP from K3
Innovative video surveillance company Ovation Systems has invested £100,000 in a new integrated business system from Manchester-based K3 Syspro (K3).
The SYSPRO ERP based solution will underpin Ovation Systems’ ISO 9000 quality system and will replace the three separate computer systems the company currently uses for accounting, manufacturing and customer relationship management.
“SYSPRO gives us a single centralised and completely integrated system that everyone in the business can use. It will help us to work smarter and provide the information we need instantly, instead of having to interrogate different systems. We have chosen four special modules to implement: Engineering Change Control, Contact Management, Workflow and Advanced Quality Management. The Workflow module in particular will mesh with our ISO 9000 quality standard and company manual,” said Richard Gregory, Managing Director, Ovation Systems.
“We have a lot of customers overseas and it is imperative that we can despatch and deliver orders to them wherever they may be based. SYSPRO will help with this by producing the correct documentation automatically – without accurate export documents, deliveries can be held up in the port and so this is an important function of the system too,” he added.
Being a quality driven company Ovation Systems conducted thorough research into the business software market, aided by an independent consultant. Several enterprise resource planning systems were investigated, with K3 winning the contract for its responsiveness and ability to show that SYSPRO was the best fit for Ovation Systems’ needs.
“We reviewed all contenders and it was clear that SYSPRO was the best system for our company. K3’s fast response and the team’s ability to show how SYSPRO was the most relevant system on the market to meet our demanding requirements won the day. I believe that any business software must be both easy and pleasurable to use so that everyone who needs to use it will use it. From what we’ve seen SYSPRO fits the bill,” added Richard Gregory.
