Brighter further extends its network with another prominent clinician and scientist.
In January cooperation will be initiated with Doc. Michael Alvarsson, chief physician at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna, who will function as an advisor for Brighter within the medical field.
Michael is active at the Clinic of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes as well as conducting clinical diabetes research at the Department of Molecular medicine and Surgery (MMK) at Karolinska institute. The cooperation entails that Brighter further strengthens its competence regarding practical diabetes treatment and research within endocrinology.
- The cooperation is a part of our continuous effort to ensure that Brighter is at the forefront regarding development in research. Hence Brighter actively broadens and deepens its internal knowledge in prioritized areas of focus. This also strengthens Brighter in ongoing negotiations with a number of major international companies within pharmaceutical, e-health and communications sectors, says Truls Sjöstedt, Brighter’s CEO and founder.
About Brighter AB
Brighter creates innovations which make life easier for people living with a disease. The first idea is about making insulin treatment easier and more effective. Brighter has, through its patented device, developed a unique solution which combines diagnostics, medication and journaling in one device. It gives millions of diabetics across the globe the possibility for improved quality of life. Generated data can be shared and followed up and thus the device functions as a link between the patient’s everyday treatment and the healthcare’s treatment plan. The increase in quality and cost efficiency that is made possible will benefit patients, caregivers, payers and authorities. We believe that simplicity and access drive behavioral change and that the responsibility for health increasingly is shifted towards the individual. Therefore we want to understand people and their situation in life in order to develop easy, smart and reliable solutions which simplify their everyday life and increase the quality of treatment.
