Thank you Letter

Dear Editor, Bupa’s Woodend Nursing and Residential Centre, Bradgate Road, Altrincham, held a fashion show on Sunday 27 September in memory of Pat Morris and to raise funds for the new Altrincham General Hospital. The late Pat Morris, a resident of Woodend, sadly lost her battle with cancer earlier last month. She was an avid health campaigner who fought for improved hospital services in Altrincham. She campaigned tirelessly to the end and led the organisation of the fashion show. The show was a fantastic success and the money raised so far for the cause has reached over £440.00 and donations are still being received. From everyone at Woodend we would like to extend a special thank you to all those involved: all staff, residents and relatives at Woodend, Rackham's department store, particularly Karen Hobbs and Shelia Rowlands and Eden flowers Altrincham. Pat Morris' friends and family, with special thanks going out to Pat’s friend Judy Collins who has been actively involved in each stage of the Fashion Show preparations and the Altrincham General Hospital campaign. Also to Pat’s husband David, who despite his loss was an enormous support on the day. Finally we would like to offer thanks to all the local people and businesses who supported us on the day. The show attracted over 100 visitors to the home and we are sure that Pat would be extremely proud of all that was achieved. We could not have done this without all your help – again, a massive thank you goes out to all. Yours sincerely, Claire Harty Home Manager (Woodend)
