C-RAD AB: First Catalyst systems to the French market

First orders of Catalyst systems to the French market



The C-RAD’s distributor in France, Eckert & Ziegler BEBIG has placed first
orders for two Catalyst systems for immediate installation. One system has been
ordered by Centre de Radiotherapie des Ardenne, Charleville Mezieres and the
other by Institut du Cancer Courlany, Reims. Both sites are equipped with
linear accelerators from Varian. The Catalyst systems will be installed in the
last week of June. 

C-RAD AB and its five fully owned subsidiaries are all active in the field of
radiation therapy. The Catalyst system is based on a new generation of hardware
and software platform for high performance optical surface scanning and
augmented reality through re projection. Advanced and highly optimized
algorithms for non-rigid registration and deformable models enable the
real-time assessment of patient positioning errors before and during treatment
delivery. The system is calculating iso center adjustments. Interfaces to major
LINAC vendors ensure a completely integrated workflow. 

The agreement with Eckert&Ziegler BEBIG in France was signed in February 2012.
The company has a strong position in brachy therapy on the French market. After
training both in Sweden and in France and visits to key customers Eckert &
Ziegler BEBIG decided to focus sales activities on the new C-RAD Catalyst
system.
