California B&Bs and Boutique Inns Offer Military Specials in Honor of Veterans Day

SACRAMENTO, CA [October 18, 2016] -- In honor of the men and women who serve in the U.S. military, several members of the California Association of Boutique & Breakfast Inns (CABBI) are offering military specials in conjunction with Veterans Day (November 11, 2016). Some of the specials are also available through the month of November or year-round.

For the full month of November, Benbow Historic Inn will honor active military and veterans with a 30% discount off its best available room rates plus a round of golf for two and a free cart rental.  The special is valid during the month of November only, and excludes November 25-27, 2016.  A valid military ID must be presented at check in.  The historical country inn is nestled on the banks of the Eel River in Garberville and features award winning dining room, wine cellar, a golf course and more.  To reserve, call 707-923-2124.

With family members of their own who have served or are currently serving in the military, the innkeepers at Alder Inn in South Lake Tahoe are offering a Military Appreciation Special in honor of Veterans Day. November 1-21, 2016, all active and retired military personnel will receive 20% off standard room rates. A valid military ID is required at check in. Guests may check the Alder Inn website for availability and then call the inn directly at 530-544-4485 to secure the discounted rate.  The recently updated inn is located just a few blocks from the Lake Tahoe beach and a mile from Heavenly Ski Lodge.

Plan a quiet getaway to A Haven of Rest Bed & Breakfast near Yosemite this November and save with the inn’s military special. For Veterans Day, the Hotel Marisol Coronado on Coronado Island wants to spoil its active-duty military service members. The elegant Queen Anne Hotel in San Francisco offers military discounts year-round, but now through December 29, 2016, the hotel is offering an extra-special veterans’ discount rate.  The deeper discounted military rate is available only by calling the hotel’s Director of Sales toll free at 800-227-3970 or 415-441-2828 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The rate includes deluxe continental breakfast, WiFi, press reader, and afternoon tea and sherry. On Catalina Island, the Hotel Catalina & Courtyard Garden Suites   offers year-round military discounts on lodging, restaurants and tours.
