SACRAMENTO, CA [January 14, 2019]— With Valentine’s Day approaching, the California Association of Boutique & Breakfast Inns (CABBI) has compiled a list of romantic packages at boutique hotels and B&Bs that pull out all the stops on romance.

Catalina Island’s Avalon Hotel is offering a fully customizable romance package available through March 28, 2019. Close to Southern California, yet a world away, the hotel is an icon of early Californian architecture known for breathtaking views and modern conveniences. In addition to a two-night stay, package options include a full day at Island Spa, a bouquet of roses, champagne, a gift certificate to Lloyds of Avalon Confectionery, two upgraded round-trip boat tickets, on-island taxi transfers, and continental breakfast. Throughout the month of February, Nick’s Cove and Cottages on Tomales Bay is offering a 20% discount their romance package, “Nick’s Loves Love.” Starting at $1,037, the special includes overnight accommodations in a bay view cottage, an in-room couples’ massage, a bottle of Nick’s Cove Merlot, barbecued oysters delivered upon arrival, an en suite continental breakfast, and a special surprise from the chef during dinner service. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Lavender Inn in Ojai will host an Italian language and cooking class for lovers.  On Sunday, February 10, Clarissa Fishman will lead “Sexy Speak-Cook-Eat,” a northern Italian cooking class.  In addition to learning to prepare Italian dishes, couples will learn sexy Italian words from one of the world’s sexiest love languages and then enjoy a four-course Italian meal paired with wine.
