Camanio Care signs agreement with Thumbay Group for distribution in the GCC-region
Camanio Care AB (publ) signs agreement with Thumbay Group Marketing and Distribution Company LLC (TMDC) for distribution of Camanio’s products in the GCC-region. Earlier this year, Camanio Care reported that BikeAround has been installed in a rehab clinic in UAE. The agreement gives Thumbay Group exclusive distribution rights for Camanio’s products in The United Arab Emirates and Oman.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is a regional political organization comprising the energy rich Gulf monarchies – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and The United Arab Emirates.
-UAE and the GCC-region is a very important market for all the products and services that Camanio offers. To work together with a general contractor like TMDC is very satisfying, since they will be able to follow the customers on their whole journey from the hospital to their homes. They will also be able to help out during assessments in an early stage of the rehabilitation, says Jasmine Dahlberg, International Sales Manager at Camanio Care AB.
Thumbay Marketing and Distribution Company LLC (TMDC) is part of Thumbay Group who since 1998 operates within 17 areas, such as education, health care and research. Today, the company distributes products to all the health care segments, which enables them to be a general contractor to their customers. Today, Thumbay Group’s main hospital network is within the private academic hospitals in the Middle East, where they collaborate with hospitals in Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah and Fujairah, and in Hyderabad in India.

According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), The United Arab Emirates is facing a demographic challenge as a result of the country’s growing population. In 2020, the need for health care is projected to have increased by 16%[1]. This means that there will be an increasing need for technical solutions which can contribute to manage the increasing demand on health care.
