Acclaimed Business Expert Offers Real Tips Not Taught in School

Entrepreneur and New York Times Best Selling author Grant Cardone, took his messages of determination, focus, drive and ambition to a special appearance at Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Florida where he spoke to over 100 students in grades 9-12. The talk was yet another example of a growing interest of bringing business leaders into schools.

Bill Caruso, Cypress Bay Athletic Director and Mark Guandolo, Football Coach, “Coach G.” arranged for Grant Cardone to give a talk and motivate their student athletes, get them to tap into their “hustle muscle” and help them to be champions on the field and off. Cardone, a dynamic, nationally acclaimed motivational speaker and sales expert, recently relocated his business and family from Los Angeles to Miami so he was thrilled to make a positive impact on the community in this way. “Schools and churches are starting to tap street smart entrepreneurs that know the real world, to provide solutions for the difficulties and the challenges that are not taught in classrooms and universities. We are getting as many requests for these presentations from schools and churches as we are from businesses,” says Grant Cardone.

This request came from Jack Jackintelle, President of Rick Case Automotive Group, the largest in the area. He saw the benefits of Grant Cardone's methods with his own sales team and knew his son, a 10th grader at the school, along with other students, needed some straight talk about making smart decions. He connected with school coaches to make it happen. "Grant really involved the kids, you can see that moment when something Grant said resonated with them. He involved them and didn't just lecture at them. He asked them questions and really made them think."

Coach G explains, “these are great kids, they have so much potential but they are bombarded with confusing messages at every turn. They're not thinking about possible consequences. As coaches, it's our job to instill values that carry these kids through life. Having someone like Grant Cardone come in with his big energy was awesome. The kids really got a lot out of it.”

Cardone delivered an interactive, engaging, no holds barred presentation to over 100 student athletes at the high school. Cardone opened with, "there are two types of people in this room, those that will get the life they want and everyone else." He went on to admit that as a teen boredom was his biggest challenge and advised the teen athletes to set their goals so big that their problems seem small. The students in attendance each received a copy of Cardone's, New York Times Best Seller, “The 10X Rule, The Only Difference Between Success and Failure”.

Some of Grant Cardone's Tips:

1. Take Massive Action. Set a goal, then come up with the amount of effort you think is required to meet the goal, then multiply that by 10. This gets you to your goal and even beyond it quicker.
2. Identify Your Distractions. When you understand what distracts you, you can work to improve your focus. If the TV and cell phone distracts you, study in a place without TV and turn off the phone. Figure out what works and avoid what doesn't.
3. Follow Through and Never Retreat. When you know something must be done, do it and do it well. Become known for being reliable and someone who commits to action.
Cardone has been speaking to audiences all over the world for 25 years. His hard hitting, motivational message about creating the life you want, wakes up people of all ages. Each year Cardone delivers up to 25 engagements for schools and churches pro-bono.
