Pulaski, Wis. (Aug. 21, 2013) Carver Yachts’ first new C34 Command Bridge sent to Europe has already found success.

Carver's new C34 yacht was sold to a French customer in early August by Yachts Invest, Carver's representative in Monaco, and France shortly after it arrived in Europe.

The launch of the Carver C34 is part of the Wisconsin yacht maker's aggressive new product development program. Carver has also recently launched the C40, and the Carver C37 Coupé is planned for launch later this fall. All three newly introduced Carvers will be sold throughout Europe. The new C34 will also be a featured boat on display at the Cannes boat show (Festival de la Plaisance Cannes) Sept. 10-15.

Paulo Bencivenni, Carver's director of sales for Europe said he was not surprised the new C34 sold so quickly.

"We’re thrilled to receive the C34 in Europe," Bencivenni said. "Carver has a strong following in Europe and continues to be one of the yachts of choice for customers who realize that American built yachts are well made and very dependable."

Dating back to the 1980s, Carver was one of the first American yacht builders to invest in the European market. Carver took the time to get its yachts CE-marked by designing models specifically for Europe and including required features such as diesel engines and European electrical systems, Bencivenni said.

The open and spacious design of the C34 and the other Carver yachts launching this year also make them very well suited for use throughout Europe. Marinas in Europe often don’t have the electrical capability for yacht owners to run their boat’s air conditioning while moored, so the C34’s open and spacious design includes a number of windows and portholes for comfortable airflow.

Some of the C34’s other important features are a spacious homelike floor plan, an elevated low profile command bridge which provides a 360-degree-view when piloting, two private staterooms and open entertainment areas, as well as extra wide deck walkways. The C34 can also be equipped with either twin inboard or twin stern drive engines in either gasoline or diesel configurations. This allows the boat to be outfitted with the engine best suited for the environment in which it will be used.
