Celsius receives order for new command and control system The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration has signed an agreement with CelsiusTech Systems for the delivery of a new command and control system as well as a navigation system, and for the modification of the fire control system for the Stockholm and Malmö corvettes, as a part of the half life modernisation. The order is valued at SEK 115 M with options valued at SEK 12 M. Deliveries shall be completed before the end of the year 2002. Installation work will be carried out at Kockum's Shipyard at Karlskrona, at the same time as a part of the previously ordered upgrading. The command and control system is a version of CelsiusTech System's combat control system for surface vessels, designated YS 2000. Most of the functions that are included in the control system are utilised from the system that was designed for the corvette-class Visby (CETRIS). Additions and changes are made primarily for adapting the system to future missions of the Stockholm and Malmö corvettes, for example taking part in international operations.
