CESA Conference in association with the FCSI and BHA

13th and 14th November, Heythrop Park Resort, Oxfordshire OX7 5UF

The speaker line-up for the CESA Conference 2014 is stronger than ever. A packed programme includes industry leaders, economists, a futurist and a hospitality service management specialist – all topped off with a keynote speech from MP, broadcaster and writer Gyles Brandreth, fresh from his star turn as Lady Bracknell. The conference facilitator is the BBC’s Steph McGovern, whose award-winning coverage of the credit crunch underlines her business acumen.

The conference, which CESA runs in association with the FCSI and the BHA, has become the catering equipment industry’s essential annual event, attracting delegates from every sector, including manufacturers, distributors, consultants and operators.

Each year the conference looks at the key issues facing the catering industry. The 2014 theme, ‘The Future’s Bright’, focuses on the dynamic opportunities for growth that the economic recovery is bringing. Speakers like David Smith, economics editor of The Sunday Times, and Mark Stevenson, author, futurist and founder of Flow Associates, will deliver valuable insight into how catering industry suppliers and operators can maximise their prospects.

There will also be reports and presentations on the latest developments of BIM and its impact not only on the catering equipment industry but also, looking at the broader picture, the construction and architectural arenas.

“Delegates will hear the latest thinking from speakers at the heart of the issues,” says Nick Oryino, chair of CESA. “However, the conference is not just about listening, it’s about joining the debate and getting your voice heard. With over 200 industry leaders gathered together, it’s also a great opportunity to network.”

Conference Thursday will offer a variety of activities including golf at Heythrop Park and the ever popular informal evening dinner. On Friday the speaker programme is followed by the CESA AGM and the Gala Dinner, where the FCSI Sustainable Catering Equipment award and the CESA/Caterer Outstanding Service to the Industry award will be announced.
