Former Quinton Hazell duo Malcolm Crosby and Antonio Arriola are the men on the ground that are spearheading the rapid growth of the Borg & Beck range within the Spanish aftermarket. Borg & Beck offers a variety of products including clutch systems, braking components and steering and suspension to name a few.

Between them Malcolm and Antonio have 63 years of aftermarket experience and 43 directly within the Spanish market, which makes them a formidable team with a wealth of product and market knowledge.

The pair complement one another very well as Malcolm pursues his brief to develop the many sales opportunities that the Borg & Beck name is attracting, while Antonio provides the marketing and technical support that is so important as the brand’s share of the market grows.

Although First Line, the company behind the brand, has been active in Spain for a number of years, it has experienced a dramatic increase in demand for its products, particularly with its highly regarded Borg & Beck brand, after it exhibited at Motortec in 2011.

It has now established distribution agreements with three partners based in La Coruña, Málaga & Valencia. These partners provide a ‘same-day’ logistics capability to local customers and can reach all parts of Spain and Portugal with ‘next-day’ delivery. To develop the market to its full potential the company’s focus is to progressively move towards a logistics structure that can provide a ‘same-day’ service to the main regions of the Spanish market.

Solely owned by quality parts supplier First Line, the Borg & Beck brand has a high level of recognition throughout the Spanish service and repair sector as well as an original equipment quality reputation. This brand awareness among those specifying and fitting replacement parts, combined with the extensive range of products in its clutch, braking and steering programmes, made them the obvious products to initially introduce into the Spanish market.
