ChromoGenics’ seminar creates interest in the building and real estate sector for a sustainable society
ChromoGenics AB (publ) welcomed guests from the real estate industry to Dynamic Glass Academy, a seminar on energy efficiency and comfort in building focused on sustainability.
To meet the great interest in the company's dynamic glass ConverLight™, ChromoGenics invited architects, real estate companies, energy consultants and other stakeholders in the real estate industry in Uppsala to another seminar "Dynamic Glass Academy". Guest speakers presented the latest in sustainability trends, energy efficiency and sustainable materials and product selection in building.
"Our ConverLight™ product provides buildings with dynamic solar and climate control, resulting to improved energy efficiency and indoor comfort. ConverLight™ also contributes to environmental certification of buildings. Buildings accounts for about a third of CO2 emissions today. We meet a lot of interest since energy efficiency and sustainability are high on the agenda in the real estate industry. The European environmental goals target that CO2 emissions shall be reduced by 20 percent by 2020, so the industry must act now," says Thomas Almesjö, CEO of ChromoGenics.
"Today's tough requirements on energy efficiency, comfort as well as demand for environmental certifications have made simulation models for buildings’ performance more and more used. We help decision makers with supporting documentations for energy efficiency in buildings," says Anton Clarholm from Project Engagement. "The simulations we have performed, comparing ConverLight™ with traditional solar protections, show a significant improvement in energy performance and solar heat load in buildings while maintaining daylight," concludes Anton.
"Property owners place higher demands on energy efficiency and comfort in buildings. ConverLight™ solves a problem in buildings as the market trend goes towards more glass in building. This without having to make aesthetic claims on the exterior facade," says Fredrik Bjälkensäter, Project Manager at Fasadglas in Uppsala AB, who visited Dynamic Glass Academy.
