Cision Announces Top 100 Social Media, Internet Marketing and SEO Blogs of 2011
Toronto, April 15, 2011 – Cision, the leading provider of PR software, services and tools for the marketing and public relations industry, announced 2011’s Top 100 Social Media, Internet Marketing and SEO Blogs.
The list was developed by Cision and social media expert Sarah Evans of Sevans Strategy, and based on the comprehensive Cision Media Database. The Top 100 is headed by Social Media Examiner, followed by Ignite Social Media, and last year’s No. 1, Mashable.
“The social media universe is still expanding and evolving,” said Peter Granat, President and Chief Operating Officer of Cision North America. “The bloggers and influencers who are the most powerful agents of change are not immune from this evolution. This year’s Top 100 includes SEO blogs for the first time because of the convergence of online marketing, social media and SEO – paid, earned and owned media. Granat also noted that the Cision Top 100 is based on four distinct metrics from CisionPoint and Compete.com:
- Average unique visitors per month
- Average page views per month per unique visitor
- Average time (in seconds) per month per unique visitor
- Average visits per month per unique visitor
“Our Top 100 measures more than unique visitors,” he said. “It takes into account the quality of the dialogue that’s taking place and the relationships that are being formed to determine the most trusted influencers and the most engaged communities.”
