CLS single use accessories evaluated by Laser Prostate Centers of America in Texas, USA

Clinical Laserthermia Systems (CLS) (publ), has, through its subsidiary CLS Americas Inc., received an order from Laser Prostate Centers of America (LPCA), regarding CLS single use accessories for MRI-guided laser ablation. LPCA, who is a new CLS customer, will evaluate the company’s products for focal laser ablation (FLA) treatment of early stage prostate cancer. The value of this initial order amounts to about 55 000 SEK.

Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer among men. In the US, 200 000 new cases are expected every year. FLA is a gentle treatment alternative compared to surgery and radiation, which often damage surrounding tissue and give side effects such as incontinence and erectile dysfunction.
